Below are teasers for a few good apps that should get you started on managing those stacks of photos you've amassed over the past few months. Over the past couple months, we've seen some standout products come through the PC Mag labs, products that combine easy-to-use interfaces with excellent online sharing features. And watch for an upcoming review of another photo-output service that shows promise, Tabblo. Smugmug managed to score itself an Editor's Choice by embracing the community and printing aspects of the aforementioned services. Yahoo!'s Flickr service has proven a popular destination for building up communal sharing around online photo albums. The HP-owned Snapfish offers user-friendly photo management services and inexpensive printing. On the Web front, the last couple of years have seen an explosion in services that have redefined photo management for the new century. And PC Magazine's has even developed its very own Photo Viewr utility, designed to convert old PCs into super-sized picture frames. Those who still like the idea of the old-timey vacation-picture slideshow can always go with an updated version of the old-standby projector. Gone are the days of relegating your pictorial memories to leather-bound (or, more likely, pleather-bound) albums on dusty old shelves, and gone, too the days when sharing pictures meant either besides passing them, putting them in frames, or having them made into slides for projection. ![]() ![]() We can't actually help you all that much with your first two holiday acquisitions, but fortunately we've got that last one covered.
